The document provides information about our costs for private immigration matters in accordance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority Price Transparency Rules.

The prices quoted in this document are for guidance concerning our services. Each instruction received would be costed specifically based on the required work. Therefore, these are estimated costs within a typical range that correlates to the specific work we may undertake on your behalf.

VAT

VAT stands for Value Added Tax. VAT is a form of tax applied to purchases of goods or services. In the United Kingdom, the standard rate of VAT is currently 20%. Charging VAT concerning immigration matters may depend on where you live and what immigration permission you have. We do not charge VAT for our professional services, but other third-party fees may attract VAT, which will be applied. We will confirm whether VAT (at a rate of 20%) is payable for any third-party services as soon as we become aware.

Also, our fees are subject to review and may change depending on your matter. If this happens, we will let you know in advance in writing. This could be increasing to our hourly rates in writing before any changes are applied to your matter;

• value added tax (‘VAT’) costs. Fees subject to VAT will incur the prevailing VAT rate, currently 20%. We will inform you immediately if your matter is subject to VAT and 
• disbursement costs, such as instructing an interpreter or barrister or requesting an expert report.

Some disbursements are subject to VAT at 20%. Any disbursement subject to VAT will be invoiced with the applicable VAT amount added to the disbursement.

Hourly Rate

Our fees are charged on an hourly basis. The hourly rate is £301.00. Our solicitor is over 23 years qualified, has immense experience, and was admitted as a solicitor in 2002.

We will charge the same hourly rates for advice and representation at the First-Tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) regarding appeals against Home Office visas or immigration decisions (excluding asylum). We may need to instruct experts, and their fees are known as disbursements.

The time taken to prepare an appeal varies depending on the issues of the appeal. Preparation time is likely to take between 20 - 25 hours. Therefore, the average costs will likely be between £6,200 and £7,750 when an experienced partner undertakes the work. These figures exclude VAT, which is not charged currently.

Concerning representation at appeal hearings, we usually instruct very experienced barristers to represent you. We liaise closely with them and, in most cases, arrange a meeting with you and your barrister before the hearing (known as a “conference”). We will discuss the options and offer you a range of experiences and prices. Costs for the barrister are likely to be in the range of £1,000 to £3,000 plus VAT, depending on the barrister's seniority and the case's complexities.

Disbursements

Disbursements are also costs related to your matter that are payable to third parties, such as visa fees. We handle the payment of the disbursements on your behalf to ensure a smoother process.

• Interpreters’ fees at £30 per hour.
• Translation: £40 per page.

Depending on the specifics of the matter, we may require up to 10 hours of interpretation and pay for the translation of relevant documents.

• Independent expert reports, e.g., medical experts.

These are not always required. If we consider an expert report necessary, we will let you know as soon as possible.

• If there is an interview and we do attend with you, additional costs will be

known as disbursements for our mileage/travel expenses.

Please note that disbursements are subject to the agency's rate and the hourly rate for each disbursement. For example, the cost of an interpreter will depend on the services used and for how long.

Disbursements

Disbursements are costs that we may have to pay to conduct your matter. The following are the most likely disbursements:

1. Home Office visa application fee
2. Interpreters related cost.
3. Barristers know as Counsel fees.
4. Expert (medical and/or subject expert) report.
5. Biometric fee (in applying from inside the UK).
6. Life in the UK test fee (if required).
7. English Language Test Fees
8. Court fees to lodge an appeal or make an application.

The above are the disbursements associated with immigration applications and court fees to appeal. Additional disbursements, such as court fees, may relate to your matter. Additionally, the disbursement costs are subject to hourly rates £301 and VAT charges.

if you do not fulfil certain criteria, whether this can be overcome and how;
• Considering the supporting evidence, you have provided;
• Where necessary, helping you obtain further evidence (such as medical records and bank statements),
including taking statements of any witnesses;
• Prior advice on Home Office interview: if the Home Office ask you to attend an interview, we will give you clear advice
(and discuss the possibility of us attending with you; please see below) at the appropriate timescales
• Preparing your application and submitting it on your behalf;
• Giving you advice about the outcome of the application and any further steps you need to take.
The costs above do not include:
• Any Home Office fees for making the application. You will pay this to the Home Office directly as part of the application process.
• Where the Home Office refuse your application, advice and assistance in relation to any appeal.
• Disbursements are costs related to your matter that are payable to third parties, such as visa fees or international postage costs. We handle the payment of the disbursements on your behalf to ensure a smoother process.
• Interpreters fees will vary per hour. The number of hours required will depend on the complexity of your case.
• Independent expert reports e.g. medical experts. These are not required in many cases: we will let you know as soon as possible if we consider an expert report is necessary.
• If there is an Home Office interview and we do attend with you, there will be additional disbursements in respect of our travel time and expenses.
